The Pitch

To prepare for our pitch to the class we made a PowerPoint presentation on the Mac. It consisted of the names of the people in my group. It then went on to explain the plot of the film and the name that we came up with after research of conventional Thriller Film.

At first we were going to run with a Horror genre film but then we thought again about how easy it would be for us to get the right cast and be able to get all the shots to put the film together. Due to these aspects we changed the idea of the film to a Thriller and this is what we pitched to the class.

We looked our presentation explained all this in good detail. It then went onto explain who our dream director would be. We chose James Wann to be our dream director. He is mostly known for his Horror Genre films but we believe that he could add this into a Thriller genre and make it a one of a kind thriller film. A sub genre in thriller is supernatural occurrences and this is what James Wann specializes in when filming his films.

We chose the target audience to be from 16-18. This is because at this age people are more mature and can deal with watching films that contain both physical and entail violence. If we created the same film and looked at advertising to any lower age group I think it would be a mistake because they would not get the film.

Unfortunately I was ill on the day we had to present our pitch. Despite this the rest of my group still carried on with the presentation. When i returned the week after they gave me some feedback about what was good and what could have been improved. This shows good teamwork and communication with my group.
